I made a really important, possibly life-changing decision yesterday. It won’t come into effect for a few weeks, but I’m still living on the high of the thrill. It’s a really scary choice, the kind where you’re not really sure if this is going to permanently change your life journey for the worse. I’m not quite ready to talk about it yet, mostly because it involves some sensitive information that I’d like to keep private from certain people for the moment. But, in honor of big decisions and risks of all sizes, I’d like to share the following inspirational TED Talk by William Gurstelle.
Wow. It makes you want to go blow something up, right? I don’t really know if I’m in the prime third. I don’t think I’m naturally a risk-taker, but I do push myself to do things that make me uncomfortable. Usually when I don’t want to do something I stop and ask myself why, and then force myself to do it anyway just because I’m afraid. The Boy is definitely one of those “Prime Third” people, and being around him has been a really positive influence on my risk-taking. So get out there and jump off a building, or something!
Anyway, food for thought today, and I promise to have a post about my dinner at Stone Barns soon!
